A Place of Time
We call Groß-Eibenberg our place of time. Silence, nature, stunning hills and privacy are the assets of this remote forest and farming plot. Groß-Eibenberg invites to take refuge from stressful and bustling work and city life. Here time has no importance. Well, as for deer, sheep, cows, owls, pecker and eagles sun rise and stunning sun sets may structure a day.
Guesthouse
In the middle of mountain pastures, forests and fruit trees lays our guesthouse on the Eibenberg-Hill (786 sl) in Kirchberg/Pielach, Region Lower Austria 85 km far from Vienna.
It provides space for up to 8 persons; 4 double rooms, big living room, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, veranda, garden. Our guests are invited to take fruits, herbs and vegetables from our gardens.

Activities at Groß-Eibenberg and the Region
Pielach-Valley (Dirndltal) is famous for its cider, local biological food and the beautiful bloom of Dirndl trees (Cornus mas) in the very early spring. The Pielach - the region´ s river - is wonderful for cycling, animal watching, swimming, and relaxing. The region is perfect for mountain-biking and caving as well as for horse-riding in summer. In winter Groß-Eibenberg is nice for lugeing, snowshoeing and cross-country-skiing. The alpine-skiing regions Türnitz and Lilienfeld are 20 min as well as Ötscher, the highest mountain of the Lower Austrian Alps, is one hour far from here.

Excursions to Vienna
A special feature of Groß-Eibenberg is the proximity to the Austrian capital Vienna. It takes only one hour to Vienna by car and about two hours by train (a nostalgic light railway).
Excursions and trips further to other places in Austria (or Europe in general) are easy by car or train, as Groß-Eibenberg is 25 km close to international railroads (Westbahn) and highways (A 1).

The guesthouse is rent on self-supply. Fees include transport from/to train station Kirchberg/Pielach, vegetable, fruits, herbs from garden, bed covers, towels, wood, cleaning up at end of your stay (pets Euro 45.-charged).
